Before Autumn Arrives

He breathes heavily

And she is breathless.

He is in his elements

And she is on fire.

Claws script memories on sweaty backs

Old sheets grow wrinkles.

With twists and turns and upheavals

The two pose inseparable…

Like two serpents in embrace.

Blinds drawn on a half-hearted night

And dying candle blows its fragrance.

Purple walls silhouette the terrains

As they consume each other.

Interludes of creaks and metals

Moans and mumbles in monosyllables

Yearning tickles down

The two meet over youth’s vigor

They lie in the midst of burning May

To wake up to a sober November
